I-Fri: Jungle



I've wanted to try adding some more detail/texture to my illos with black line, but wasn't quite sure how to do it - UNTIL I was inspired by some painting/graffiti in an alleyway in downtown melbourne this weekend, after my children's book illustration class. I'm pretty happy with this experiment. I hope you like it!

Thanks everyone!!! I can't tell you how encouraging it is for this lil kim to get all your lovely comments. I've had a spring in my step all day from this. :-)

Caitlin: It is about 8in x 6.5in (including tail) or 20cm x 16cm if you're more metric. I was wishing I had drawn it a bit bigger because some of those lines were hard to paint! Had to resort to inking some in the end...
