I-F: Detach

It's hard to detach yourself from watching the Olympics! They're everywhere you go. But our lounge room is a work site at the moment as we are fixing cracks, replastering, and repainting, and our TV has been placed somewhere in between the piano and the couch, covered in plastic. I can't wait till it's all done! But something tells me the olympics will be done by then too!

This is a piece I did a few years ago for a book about the Beijing Olympics. 2008 seemed very far away at the time!

This is such a lovely illustration, those rolling hill, and the Great Wall, wonderful perspective and colors!

Glad you liked the award, it's very true: I do love your blog!

One question: did you see the post I did about an Aussie illustrator called Stephen Michael King? I really love his work and was wondering if you had seen his latest book, "Leaf." I heard it's lovely!

Hope the home repairs are going smoothly! :-)

Nice work! I have been addicted to the Olympics also. I will be so sad when they end this Sunday!

This is sooo beautiful! I can look at it all day, so restful, so meditative. Aaaah.

Aaanywho, I know what you mean about the Beijing Olympics seeming so far away at one point... and, sniff, now they're gone. It was great though.
