I-F: Reverse

I just got an email from the Art House Co-op saying they received my sketchbook project book! It made me realise that I hadn't posted all of my pages here - so I'm doing of all this in reverse! Anyway, here are some selections only. You can see my entire submission here.

I was unfortunately a bit rushed at the end to finish this, but playing with ink on paper was really quick so that was good! It was fun to be free and use big long strokes. I've always enjoyed painting in ink.

Hey Lil Kim! I LOVE your cats in your sketchbook!! What wonderful cat gestures and beautiful line work. Did you use a brush for these? I looked at your other pages at the site. Very, very nice work!!!

Love your cats! That have so much character. Your design sense is rockin' too.

Nice kittybook. The rest of your blog is very charming too.

Thanks Ann Marie! Yes I used a lovely old japanese brush and ink. Lots of fun to play with the thinness (is that a word?) and thickness of the stroke.

Cheers Rubin :-) Yes part of the fun of the sketchbook was designing it as well, which I really enjoyed.

I was going to say you reek of talent...but maybe exude is a better word. Love the free flow :) You always make it look easy.

Thanks Stacia - you are too kind! :)

Thank you Suzanne! I wish I would be able to see the Sketchbook project exhibition in person - I'm sure it will be amazing. I think I'll have to settle for the online version.

I'm with everyone here—love, love your work! Your cats are perfect—I'm a dog person, but I'd take your cats any day! And thanks for commenting on my "reverse."
