Day of the Dead

We have decided not to celebrate Hallowe'en in our house (even though it is part of my childhood) and to celebrate the Day of the Dead instead.

We don't have a day in our culture which celebrates those who have died. I like that idea as a tradition to raise my child on, as opposed to getting dressed up and getting chocolate (though that is fun too!)

This is a piece I did when I visited Mexico several years ago.
