I wish there was one tree in my "garden", just ONE! But I don't think we can even call it a garden yet, it's more of a field. Yes... a blank canvas we keep telling ourselves... we can do whatever we want! but unfortunately (as much as we really love this house) just about EVERYTHING needs doing, and a garden is a bit further down the list. But it will be fun once we get to it!

I like your tree :D hehe. I like the love leaves (or flower). I like and i like. ;)
Original and very beautiful this tree, I like the shape and the play of light and shadows.
Lovely tree, I especially like the heart leaves.
Great drawing, very whimsical and nicely styled!!
This is sooo beautiful! And I can relate to living in a house where everything needs doing, especially the garden...ours is also a blank canvas, to put it nicely!
I'm sure your garden will look like this someday. What a great vision... I love your style, especially the real drawing of your cat and how your stylized him with real character. Hard to do.
I love the attention to deatil paid to the littlest leaf or heart or .... in this drawing. Charming work.
ah kim! beautiful! love the A+F carved in the trunk. your garden will indeed be full of love once it is planted.

This is a charming tree, lovely work.
Love your tree with the hearts. Especially the engraved initials!
Kim this is so pretty and a simple concept.
I want a sweetheart tree in my garden, just to watch it bloom!
Really nice! I like thecarving in the trunk! Cute detail.
I can relate as well. We built a house a little over a year ago and still have stuff to finish inside! :P This prevents me from getting out in the dirt which I so want to do.
Would like to link to your blog if that's OK.
great little tree... so pretty and I love that you've included the heart carved into the trunk
a lovely, decorative tree. nice!
what a wonderful love tree!
tnx for your comment...hope your garden will be soon ready...
Love your tree - all trees should grow hearts.
Get that tree planted soon - before anything else - most important!
Thanks for your comment on mine. x
What a cool tree! I love it! Your style is inspiring!
oh i love this!!
a : )
I'll mail you some croissant-plant-seeds as soon as I find them! Very sweet tree!
Ah, this is sweet!
I just loooove your trees Kim!! They are so beautiful and ornate, just lovely. You should take these designs and have them made in iron. I can almost see how beautiful these would look hanging on a wall!! Or as a headboard on a bed frame!
I love trees too. I only have one in my backyard and is a mango tree. He, he I love it but twice a year is awful with so many mangos laying everywhere and you have to watch your head.. But they are too good, so i can't complain :o)
Great illo!!!
(^v^)
What a charming, delightful illustration. Love it!
Thank you everyone! I am really enjoying doing these trees.
It's funny you should mention that about iron, Alicia, because I was just at a garden shop where they had iron scultptures of trees and they just looked so beautiful. so I agree with you!!
ha, ha really? So it is meant to be then :o)
how did i not see this until now?
i love it!
