mercury rising

biggest heat wave in 100 years they say... 42C (107F) today.... more tomorrow... my poor cat is a puddle of fur....

So instead, I'll just pretend that I'm in Spain. Which is not hard at the moment thanks to a birthday present from my husband - pots a la Andalucia, and a herb garden like you wouldn't believe (the entire garden bed is about twice this). Full points to those who can name all the herbs pictured!

and full points to anyone who has some extra ice cream they can lend me?

Heck, I used to work in the produce dept at a grocery store, but I only know the middle 2, basil and parsley.

Gonna be cold here next few days, gettin' to the low 30s next week.

I'd take some of your heat if I could, Kim! Here in the Dakotas its been cold, cold, cold! Today is finally 32 degrees and it feels like a heat wave here! Well, ok that is a stretch, but you get the idea. Love the herb garden! Beautiful! I can't guess the herbs, but I am sure they will be scrumptious!

I think I can see basil and geraniums.

Your flawed snow illo makes a lovely cooling contrast to these hot pics!
